Karoline Maddox — A Wedding Photographer & Filmmaker

Karoline Maddox was created as a portfolio concept for a wedding photographer and filmmaker drawn to the feeling of old photographs — the movement, the grain, and the imperfect little moments that make a wedding day feel like a memory.

I wanted the brand to feel cinematic and romantic without leaning too heavily into traditional wedding aesthetics. We paired warm ivory, deep olive, and black with classic serif typography and handwritten details to create something that felt timeless, but still personal and a little unexpected.

At the heart of the brand was the idea of capturing the feeling of the day, not just documenting what happened. The website follows that same approach, using film-inspired imagery, editorial layouts, and plenty of breathing room to create an experience that feels intimate, nostalgic, and effortlessly romantic.
