POLE FITNESS - Shelly

I was born and raised in a place, that my Norwegian mother says, is known for having the most beautiful women in the world...Salt Lake City, Utah.
Growing up, my dad would always tell me, "teaching, is the best job for a woman". Well here I am, teaching pole fitness,(the best job), to the most beautiful woman on the planet.
While pursuing my degree at the University of Utah, I chose Physical Education, coaching/teaching, emphasis. This was during the time when Title 9 and Prop.16, were new, and coming into law, making it possible for women and girls to participate in sports. So many opportunites came my way. Danced two years as a "Utahna", under the direction of Leslie Butler. We were the dance team that performed during half-time.... Vegas "show girl" style. I coached Highschool women's Track and Field, producing three state champions. WSI certified, taught all levels in swimming. Coached Junior Gymnastics.
After college, I made a financial decision not to pursue teaching in the public school system. I decided on a career in cosmotology. Attended the Vidal Sassoon Academy, in Santa Monica, Calif., and Von Curtis Academy in Salt Lake City, Utah. This career path, has taught me to be in business for myself.
Whether its been coaching a team, dancing at half-time, or cutting a client's hair, these experiences have taught me alot about myself, and the wisdom that I have gained is priceless.
I truly love the sport of Pole Fitness, and teaching here at Soiree, has allowed me to come full circle. I am surrounded by incredible women, of all ages....,all talented, and all beautiful. I get to see first hand, the transitions, and transformation, of my students. How lucky am I.... I "do" have the best job for a woman.
